Universal compensator
A universal compensator consists of two single bellows separated by a central pipe and provided with flanges. The main purpose of this type of construction is to achieve a high capacity for absorbing axial and lateral movements. This capacity is a function of the design of the bellows and the length of the spacer. A greater length means a greater absorption capacity. Any expansion of the intermediate tube is also absorbed by the two bellows.
Universal expansion joint
Applicable at low pressure
Absorbs large lateral and axial movements
Allow angular movements.
Does not hold the force of the pressure.
Must be well anchored and guided.
Does not withstand the force of the pressure and must be supported by the fixed anchorage that is properly designed
