Galvanizing / Zinc plating

A specialism of hot-dip galvanizing of steel

Galvanizing/zinc plating is a method that uses immersion to cover an object with a layer of metal. This method can provide iron plates with a protective layer to give the surface more shine or to make the surface corrosion resistant for up to 25 to 30 years.

The hot-dip galvanizing of steel (according to NEN-EN-ISO-1461) is a specialism. This process is an extension of degreasing, pickling and fluxing, but is processed separately by our permanent cooperation partner.
The galvanizing takes place in a zinc bath with liquid zinc of 450Ā°C. All materials are thoroughly checked according to strict regulations before they are brought to us. We then carry out a final check.

The process of galvanizing / zinc plating
In order to successfully zinc-coat the object, the material must be cleaned and degreased and sometimes even blasted first.
